Description

These Mummy Wrapped Snickerdoodles are chewy, cinnamon-sugar blondie bites turned into adorable Halloween mummies! Perfect for parties or spooky snacks, they’re easy to make, fun to decorate, and guaranteed to vanish from the dessert table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar (for sprinkling, optional)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate (for melting and decorating)
  • Mini candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Don’t overmix.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set. Let cool completely in pan.
  7. Once cooled, cut into 1.5-inch rounds or squares.
  8. Melt white chocolate in microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  9. Use a spoon or piping bag to drizzle white chocolate over blondie bites to look like mummy bandages.
  10. Place candy eyes on while chocolate is still soft. Let set for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a round cookie cutter for uniform shapes, or cut into squares for easier prep. White chocolate may be thinned with 1 tsp coconut oil if too thick. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze unfrosted blondies for up to 2 months.
